AdRoast — SaaS
How Upvision rebuilt brand and web presence for AdRoast, a saas client.
Outcome: We built AdRoast end to end: brand and marketing, the web app, and the generate / roast / edit system behind it.
Scope
- Brand and marketing site
- Web app and workspace
- Image and video generation
- Roast scoring and Improve further
- Credits, billing, and docs
What We Delivered
AdRoast is a product we built, not a brochure we dressed. The public site, the signed-in studio, and the jobs behind generate / roast / edit are one system. Orange on black — #fc4514 on #0f0f0f — is the brand from the first marketing screen through the app.
Marketing covers the offer: paste a store URL or product photo, pick a preset, get the image and a 15-second video, then roast before spend. That same loop is what the app actually does. Free Roast my ad, the preset library, pricing, comparisons, and the docs are part of the product — not a separate agency site.
Inside the app we shipped the workspace: a three-step generate wizard, image and video jobs, Social Pack (30 Instagram posts from a store URL), roast for image and video, Improve further on weak pillars, AI and manual editors, My Library, projects, team seats, shared credits, and Stripe plans from Free through Agency.
Process and Execution
The product is the loop. Generate writes the ad. Roast scores it. Edit or Improve further, then roast again. We designed every surface around that, including guest jobs that reopen after signup.
Generation is a wizard: Images or Video, optional style from 1,000+ presets (required for video), then product via URL, upload, or a saved brand. One image job produces three concepts and auto-roasts each. Video stitches keyframes, clips, and audio into a short ad. Social Pack is a separate organic job — captions included, not paid Meta ads.
Roast is the function the brand is named for. An image roast returns an overall score and ten pillars — hook, offer, scroll-stop, proof, visual, copy, audience, psychology, policy, format. Video uses nine. The math is visible. 85+ shows Ready to launch; below that, Improve further targets the weak pillars. Scores estimate creative structure. They are not a CPA or ROAS promise.
Credits sit on the workspace, not the person. Image work and edits spend from one monthly pile; video costs more. Marketing, docs, and in-app billing all describe the same rules so a Creator, Studio, or Agency plan matches what the product charges.
Impact
AdRoast ships as a working studio: generate, roast, edit, export — sold on the same brand that runs the app. Local shops and DTC brands can start free, roast without an account, then move into a workspace without a second product to learn.
